Here at Camp Bournedale boys summer camp, our philosophy is a happy belly makes a happy camper. We offer healthy choices to enable us to achieve that goal. We realize everyone has different tastes so we monitor your son-camper through the consolers to make sure he has a positive dinning experience. We are also sensitive to each campers food allergy needs. First we start with a dedicated and professional staff. Then we add a healthy dose of variety. Followed by quality and freshness. Your kids are going to love the food – we’re sure of it!

We serve campers in two basic styles. They are buffets and family style. The buffets allow us to give the campers choices. Family style is large platters of food served to the tables. This allows the boys to have a sit down meal with their bunk mates. View Our Photo Gallery.

Our Classic Breakfast Buffet

Six days a week we have a breakfast buffet. One is a cold cereal buffet. The choices run from healthy to sweet. The other is a hot entrée buffet. Here we have pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, home fries, jams and jellies and other breakfast essentials. At the table the campers return to milk and juice. On Lazy man Saturday we make omelets to order. The fillings are cheese, breakfast meats, and fresh vegetables.

Lunches Rule at Camp Bournedale!

At lunch we combine the two serving styles. We have three buffet stations. The first is the sandwich station. At this buffet the campers can choose from a variety of cold cuts. There are also cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, potato chips and the ever-present fruit bowl. The campers choose a roll, wrap or bread and build their own special sandwich. Second we have a salad bar. Fresh greens, vegetables, fruit salad, and tuna salad are popular items. Third we have soup, chowder, chili or appetizer of the day station. Finally we serve a family style lunch. These include steak and cheese subs, quesadillas, grilled cheese, hot pastrami, and pizza. The soup station and the family style lunches change daily. Once a week we go outside for a burger and dog barbeque.

Dinner is so good, you’re going to wish you had come to camp

Family style rules in the evening meal. Hot entrees and fixings are served to the tables. Some of the entrees include turkey and stuffing, London broil, mixed grill, and barbequed chicken. The salad bar is available every evening. We also sprinkle the evening with theme nights. The luau, Chinese, taco and pasta bars are favorites. Every other Saturday night we serve carved prime rib, fresh baked Atlantic scrod with all the side dishes.

Desserts such as chocolate chiffon to ice cream sundaes are served at lunch and dinner. Fresh fruit is available all day and a snack is provided each night.
