The Camp Bournedale Sailing Program is a fantastic experience for our campers. We offer exceptional instruction from our well-trained Sailing Staff and a fleet of different boats.
Using our 3 mile long freshwater pond, the boys will learn basic sailing techniques on our sunfish sailboats. Then as your skills develop, we offer more advanced sailing on our Hobie-Cat fourteens and our Hobie-Cat sixteens. We will teach rigging and derigging of the boats, reading the winds, tacking and even racing techniques for the more advanced sailors. Come on down and learn to sail and soon enough you may earn a Camp Bournedale certification as a sailing skipper.
